WPF, Inc. Meeting December 22, 2008 at 7:30 P.M.

December 9, 2008

Parents,

This is a very exciting time for the Wee Panthers Football Inc. program as we start a new journey and enter a new league. We are looking for champions and volunteers to help move our program forward. The success of our program depends on us building an army of volunteers willing to dedicate their time and resources in areas that will enhance the football program. In order to move the program forward quickly and effectively, we are going to have a meeting on December 22, 2008 at 7:30 P.M. in the cafeteria of Five Points Elementary on Lytle-Five Points Road. This meeting will give a brief overview of the
program and create a volunteer sign up to champion the following individual projects:

Concessions
Spirit Sales
Admissions / Gate Attendant
Game Day set up and tear down
Equipment manager
Field Rep’s
Team Selections
Team Coordinator
Registration
Advertising

Head Coaches
Assistant Coaches
Weigh ins
Uniforms
Fundraising
Programs
Game Day Volunteers
Pictures
Trophy order and distribution

The success of next year and the future starts with the planning we do now. It will be the volunteers that make this program great.

Mission Statement:
It shall be the goal of the Wee Panthers Football INC to provide informed coaches that will promote the teaching of fundamentals, good sportsmanship, pride in belonging to a program and make it enjoyable to all, while at the same time give the participants and equal opportunity to learn through more manageable team sizes. “Putting Kids on the Field”

Note: This Meeting will last approximately 1 hour and has a set agenda to discuss volunteer needs to make the WPFI program a success. This is not an open forum meeting to discuss any other open topics. Although the board is willing to review suggestions, we will hold other meetings after the volunteer champion positions are filled.

Thank you,

Springboro Wee Football Inc. Board

Wee Panther Football, Inc.

November 14, 2008

To: Parents and Coaches of Springboro Football Players

It is an exciting time to be a part of the Springboro Football family and the purpose of this letter is to bring each of you up to date as to some recent changes and to ask for your help in the future.

First, you are well aware for the past forty years Springboro Pee Wee Football was run by the Springboro Pee Wee Football Association. Over the summer, Carl Longworth, the president of the organization put together a committee to plan the future of Springboro Pee Wee Football. Recently, the committee has decided to form a new organization, Wee Panther Football, Inc. and a new executive board has been created to run the organization for the next couple years. The new board consists of Bryan Lindholz, Scott Turney, Darin Frederick, Stephen Harding, and John Stachler. The board members have volunteered to become involved in the new football organization with the goal of providing the best possible football learning environment to our youngsters and to provide a program that develops a true love for the game of football. If both of these goals are achieved the entire Springboro Football Program at all levels will grow exponentially.

In order for Wee Panther Football, Inc. to reach its goals, it has been determined at each grade level there is a need for more teams. The problem in the past with having more teams is that the SWBL consistently has denied requests to expand Springboro's presence in their league. As many of you know, the Springboro Football program is growing at a very high rate. Based upon last years numbers, we could have organized four teams per grade level. If the program is limited to two teams in the league, playing time for players is decreased and as a result the overall learning experience for each player is compromised.

To alleviate the inability to have more than two teams, the board has authorized a request to become a member of the Western Ohio Junior Football Conference. ("WOJFC"). Last Monday, Wee Panther Football, Inc. applied and was accepted as a new member of the WOJFC. The board believes our participation in the WOJFC is crucial to our organization having flexibility with our growing community. Our children will have the opportunity to compete against the same schools that they will in Junior High and High School. Our board members have discussed this decision with Ryan Wilhite, the head Springboro varsity coach, and the Junior High coaches and they all fully
support this opportunity. Obviously, there is a lot of work that needs to be completed from help with registration, equipment fundraising etc. In addition, many decisions have to be made regarding details. However, many of the more delicate issues are mandated by the WOJFC bylaws. In any event, all decisions made will be in the best interests of Wee Panther Football, Inc.

We are in the process of establishing a new website that will post minutes of meetings and the budget for the organization when it is complete. We also will be asking for volunteers to fill key support rolls within the organization. The key to the success of this program is the efforts of many and not just a few.

GO PANTHERS!
